Overview

26 acre gravel pit Fullys Lake is home to around 550 carp to over 73lb. Alongside the big commons and mirrors, the many scaley carp residing here are the jewels in the crown and the reason why this is some of the most unique carp fishing France has to offer. The mix of linears, fully scaled mirrors and even koi make for an impressive photo album at the end of the week.

Created and run by Constant Lebel, a well regarded French FOX consultant, this lake is perfect for those looking for beautiful carp in a well managed French lake that still has a very natural appeal.

You prebook swims individually or the venue exclusively. With six swims, a mix of singles and doubles, the lake is designed for up to 8 anglers (or up to 10 if booked exclusively for your group).

F.A.Q

How much bait will I need?

We recommend on average 30kg of bait.

What bait do you recommend?

We recommend large pellets, large boilies, floating boilies and corn.

If you supply bait on site, will I be able to get more bait during my stay if I need it?

Yes, we provide pellet and corn bait and you can pick up some more during the week. Please remember to email your bait requirements to us in advance.

Is my UK carp set-up suitable for your lake?

The lake bottom, being a gravel pit, can be harsh on your end tackle. We recommend taking extra leads and hooks just incase. We also recommend the following sizes of equipment: fishing rods 3.5m long, 2.75-3.5 t/c; reception mat, min 1m x 0.5m x 0.2m; net XXL.

What hook size do you recommend?

Hook size 6-8.

What breaking strain of main line do you recommend?

20lb.

What is the surface of the swims - can I use bank sticks?

Normal ground, which can bake very hard in the summer months, but bank sticks are usually ok.

Are any special tactics required?

Snowman and floating.

Can I drive to the lake in order to unload?

Yes and your vehicle can stay close to you.

Can I visit friends in the neighbouring swim whilst leaving my rods out?

Yes, it is possible to walk to the closest swim either side of your own and leave your rods out, as long as you take a receiver with you.

Is the lake secure? Can we leave our gear on the bankside if we go out?

The venue is secured by a locked gate and only other the anglers on the lake have the code. So, if you trust the other anglers, then we think it is fairly secure.

Can we drink the tap water?

Yes, the water is drinkable.

Do you have UK plug points?

There are some adaptors but we recommend that you bring your own just in case.

How far are the nearest supermarket / petrol / tabac?

3km, just under 2 miles.
